Jérémie Gignoux

Jérémie Gignoux is a Research Fellow at the French Institute for Research for Agriculture, Food and the Environment (INRAE) and Paris School of Economics (PSE), as well as a Research Associate at the Chair in Educational Policies and Social Mobility. His office is located at 48 Boulevard Jourdan, 75014 Paris, France.

His research focuses on Applied Economics with particular emphasis on:

• Agriculture and development
• Human capital and development
• Economics of Education
• Environment and natural resources in developing countries
• Evaluation of public policies in developing countries
• Work and development

Dr. Gignoux studies the welfare of households in developing countries and its dynamics over the life cycle and generations. His work examines various factors of change and policy interventions including technology diffusion, inclusion of smallholders in agricultural value chains, education policies and investments in human capital, climate change and natural disasters. Some of his research involves field work in developing country contexts.

His research has significant implications for understanding development processes and designing effective policies to improve welfare in developing countries, particularly through evidence-based evaluation of policy interventions across multiple dimensions of economic and social development.
