Juuda Daniel Tamminen is a Doctoral Researcher at the Department of Geosciences and Geography, University of Helsinki, and a participant in the Doctoral Programme in Political, Societal and Regional Change. His research focuses on ethnographic studies within urban contexts.

Juuda’s research interests span social and economic geography, ethnography, urban studies, social anthropology, and urban sociology. His current work examines trust development in street-based outreach programs targeting vulnerable populations in Helsinki, as reflected in his 2025 publication in the Journal of Contemporary Ethnography.
He is actively involved in the Academy of Finland-funded project "The moral drama of street gangs: A multidimensional approach to the 'gang problem' in Finland" (2023–2027) as a participant. His outreach activities include invited talks at networks like THL osallisuustutkijoiden seminaari and Helsingin etsivän työn verkosto in 2024 and 2025.
