Associate Professor Justine Dandy is a faculty member in the School of Arts and Humanities at Edith Cowan University (ECU), specializing in Psychology. She holds a PhD from The University of Adelaide (2000) and a Bachelor of Arts from the same institution (1993). Prior to ECU, she worked at Flinders University (1996–2000) and the University of Western Australia (2000–2003).
Her research focuses on cross-cultural and social psychology, particularly attitudes toward immigration, multiculturalism, acculturation, and ethnic identity. She has led or contributed to multiple grants, including a 2024–2025 National Disaster Risk Reduction Grant on environmental vulnerability and a 2020 Healthway grant exploring alcohol use among migrant youth in WA.
Recent work includes studies on refugee mental health, gender equality across cultures, and the psychological impacts of environmental migration. Her articles span journals like *Journal of Ethnicity in Substance Abuse*, *European Journal of Psychological Assessment*, and *Social Psychological and Personality Science*.
As a supervisor, she has guided doctoral research on topics such as acculturation among African-Australian youth and interethnic relationships. She is affiliated with the International Association of Cross-Cultural Psychologists and the Australian Migration Research Network.
