Justin Snedegar is Associate Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Program in Political Philosophy, Policy, and Law at the University of Virginia. His research examines practical rationality, moral decision-making, and normative aspects of social criticism. Authored 'Contrastive Reasons' (Oxford, 2017), arguing that reasons for action are fundamentally comparative.
Core research themes: 1) Contrastive theories of rational choice; 2) Ethics of interpersonal criticism; 3) Norm negotiation in social practices.
