Justin M. Chalker

Justin M. Chalker is a Professor of Chemistry at Flinders University, leading the Molecular Science and Technology division within the College of Science and Engineering. His career spans roles from Assistant Professor at The University of Tulsa (2012–2015) to his current position. He holds a D.Phil. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Oxford and B.S./B.A. degrees from the University of Pittsburgh. Chalker’s research focuses on sustainable polymers, environmental remediation, and green chemistry, with notable contributions in mercury sorbents, recyclable materials, and metal recovery technologies. He has secured over $10 million in grants, including an ARC Future Fellowship and the Prime Minister’s Prize for New Innovators (2020).
