Dr. Justin L. Davis is a Professor in the Department of Business Administration at the University of West Florida's Lewis Bear Jr. College of Business. He holds a Ph.D. in Strategic Management with a minor in International Business from the University of Texas at Arlington, an MBA from Texas Tech University, and a B.B.A. from Dallas Baptist University.
His research focuses on corporate entrepreneurship, mutual fund ethics, sports gambling markets' intersection with management and organizational ethics, innovation processes, and non-profit entrepreneurial behavior. He has authored over a dozen publications in venues like Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice and Journal of Small Business Management.
Dr. Davis has presented over 20 scholarly works at professional conferences, including a notable presentation on The Role of Overconfidence in the New Venturing Process. He has received multiple awards, including the Southern Management Association's Doctoral Student Paper Award and the Small Business Institute's Best Paper Award.
His professional activities include advising students in the Donald L. Whitman Fellow and Scholar Program and actively contributing to the department's academic initiatives.
