Justin Burkett is an Associate Professor and Interim Director of Doctoral Programs at the School of Economics, Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts, Georgia Institute of Technology. He joined Georgia Tech in 2018 after serving as an Assistant Professor at Wake Forest University and completing his PhD in Economics at the University of Maryland, College Park. His research focuses on microeconomic theory, particularly market design, which aims to improve real-world market institutions like public school seat allocation and Treasury bond markets. His work has been published in journals such as Journal of Economic Theory and Theoretical Economics.
