Jurjen Helmus

Jurjen Helmus is a Professor of Applied Research in Industrial Digital Twins at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS), with a collaborative affiliation at the Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI). His research focuses on leveraging digital twin technology to enhance industrial production efficiency, sustainability, and innovation through real-time data integration and simulation.

Key areas of interest include smart maintenance, circular economy transitions, energy optimization, and predictive analytics in manufacturing. Helmus actively engages with SMEs and industry partners to address technological challenges, exemplified by projects like developing sustainable breweries and improving factory energy efficiency.
