Juping Yu is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Life Sciences and Education, affiliated with the Health, Care and Wellbeing Research and Innovation Group. Their research focuses on coronary heart disease, social isolation, systematic reviews, nursing education, minority health, and healthcare workforce well-being. Yu has contributed to over 60 peer-reviewed publications, including studies on lifestyle interventions for women with polycystic ovary syndrome, burnout among care workers, and empathy development in nursing students.
Research interests span public health, cardiovascular epidemiology, and qualitative methodologies. Notable work includes the development of the South Wales Social Well-being Scale and evaluations of empathy measurement tools in healthcare education.
