Junko Markovich has been a Lecturer in Japanese at the University of Cincinnati since 2009, teaching courses ranging from introductory to second-year Japanese. She serves as Faculty Coordinator for the Japanese American Student Society (JASS), fostering cultural exchange between UC students, Japanese exchange students, and local communities. Since 2022, she has held leadership roles in the Ohio Association of Teachers of Japanese (OATJ), first as Vice President and then as President, promoting Japanese language education across Ohio through professional development workshops.
