معرفی
Dr. Junjie Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Geochemistry Group of the Department of Earth Sciences at Utrecht University. His research focuses on environmental biogeochemistry, particularly nutrient cycles (nitrogen, phosphorus, silicon) and their interactions with carbon and oxygen in inland and coastal waters during the Anthropocene.
- Expertise: Environmental Geochemistry, Climate Change, Data Science
- Contact: Vening Meineszgebouw A, Princetonlaan 8a, Utrecht
He employs numerical models, field experiments, and laboratory analyses to study how anthropogenic activities, hydrological changes, and climate shifts regulate freshwater biogeochemistry, greenhouse gas emissions, and coastal ecosystem health. His work addresses water quality and global sustainability through the Pathways to Sustainability initiative.
Recent publications highlight his contributions to Anthropocene biogeochemical cycles, including nitrogen acceleration in inland waters and oxygen dynamics under human pressures. He collaborates with institutions like Nature Geoscience and EGU General Assembly.
His teaching involves the Global Biogeochemical Cycles course, and he is affiliated with research hubs like the Utrecht Exposome Hub and Future Deltas.
