Jun Takahashi is Assistant Professor of Japanese and Linguistics at San Diego State University. He holds a PhD in Language Education from Indiana University Bloomington.
His research examines second language writing development, focusing on learner engagement with written corrective feedback, feedback literacy development, and writing processes through sociocultural frameworks. Current projects explore AI applications in second language writing instruction.
He received the 2024 Hamako Ito Chaplin Award from the Association for Asian Studies for excellence in Japanese language teaching.
