Dr. Julius Motuzas is a Senior Research Fellow at the School of Chemical Engineering, part of the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology at the University of Queensland (UQ). He holds a PhD in Materials Science from Montpellier 2 University and a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from Kaunas University of Technology. He is a member of Engineers Australia and the Institute of Chemical Engineers (IChemE).

Research Focus:
Dr. Motuzas specializes in advanced membrane technologies for water and gas separation, with a focus on perovskite catalysts, carbon membranes, and metal-doped silica materials. His work addresses environmental challenges such as wastewater treatment, CO2 capture, and lithium recovery through novel material synthesis and process optimization.
