Juliet S. Erazo is Associate Professor and Associate Chair in Global and Sociocultural Studies at Florida International University's Steven J. Green School of International & Public Affairs. Her research examines how development interventions impact Indigenous communities in the Ecuadorian Amazon.
Education includes:

- AB in Government and Environmental Studies, Dartmouth College (1992)
Her work explores tensions between Western development paradigms and Indigenous sovereignty, currently focusing on Indigenous women politicians in Ecuador. Research integrates ethnography, oral histories, and analysis of gender leadership transformations funded by Wenner-Gren Foundation grants.
Teaches Anthropological Theory and mentors doctoral students researching Indigenous communities across Latin America. Editorial board member for LACES and senior board member of the Anthropology and Environment Society.
