Julie Walker

Julie Walker serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Marriage & Family Therapy at Pacific Oaks College, with campus locations in Pasadena and online offerings. She maintains a dual professional role as a full-time Private Practice Clinician in the Los Angeles area, operating physical offices in West LA and Downtown LA while also providing telehealth services.

Her academic credentials include a B.A. from Chapman University (2008) and an M.S. (2011). Professionally, she has held California LMFT licensure since 2015 and expanded her practice to Virginia with licensure obtained in 2023. Prior to establishing her private practice, Walker accumulated extensive experience in school-based mental health settings, which informs her clinical approach and teaching methodology.

Her specialized clinical expertise encompasses working with clients on the Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD), addressing complex Sexuality and Gender Issues, and providing affirmative therapy for LGBTQ individuals and communities. As a Clinical Fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), she maintains active professional engagement and recognition within her field.

Walker's research and practice interests focus on contemporary therapeutic challenges in marriage and family systems, with particular attention to neurodiversity and gender-affirming care.
