Julie Vercelloni

Dr. Julie Vercelloni is a Visiting Professor at the School of Mathematical Sciences within the Faculty of Science at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). She holds a PhD from QUT and the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS), alongside a MSc from Université Pierre et Marie Curie and a BSc from Université Aix-Marseille II.

Her research focuses on integrating advanced technologies like machine learning, virtual reality (VR), and citizen science with statistical methodologies to address challenges in coral reef conservation. Key projects include the Virtual Reef Diver initiative, leveraging citizen science for reef monitoring, and using VR to assess ecological aesthetics.
