Julie Vale

Julie Vale is a Professor and Associate Director of Undergraduate Studies at the University of Guelph. Her primary research focus lies in Engineering Education and Pedagogy, with an emphasis on developing tools for assessment design and analyzing multinational capstone experiences. She also collaborates on interdisciplinary projects, including biomedical devices, optofluidic lens development, and robotic control systems.

• Anti-slip control for robotic grasping
• Smart wrist brace for carpal tunnel syndrome
• Optofluidic lenses with variable aspect ratios
• Single-type glycoform monoclonal antibody production

She is affiliated with the university’s School Administration and College Administration Faculty Staff, and is part of the Computer Engineering and Engineering Systems and Computing programs.
