Julie Saada is a Professor of Philosophy at Sciences Po Law School. She holds an Agrégation, Ph.D., and Habilitation from the École Normale Supérieure of Lyon and is a permanent researcher at Sciences Po's Research Centre. She is actively involved in editorial roles, directing the "Penser avec" series at Sciences Po and co-directing the "PolitiqueS" series at Garnier-Flammarion, while also serving on the editorial board of "Les Champs de Mars" and collaborating with the Centre de recherche en éthique at Université de Montréal.
Her research explores intersections of Human Rights, Political Philosophy, and International Law, focusing on war and post-war justice, transitional justice, and critical legal theory. Recent publications analyze topics like the Me Too movement, legal pluralism, and the role of law during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Julie Saada’s work spans interdisciplinary collaborations, including contributions to critical race theory, feminist legal scholarship, and debates on secularization. She has edited volumes on Hobbes and Spinoza’s political theories and authored books such as La tolérance (1999) and Guerre juste, guerre injuste (2009).
