Professor Julie Redfern is a leading academic in public health and cardiovascular medicine at the University of Sydney, holding dual roles as Director of Evidence-Based Healthcare at Bond University and NHMRC Investigator Grant recipient. She specializes in digital health interventions, chronic disease prevention, and implementation science. Her research focuses on closing evidence-practice gaps through scalable strategies, with a particular emphasis on cardiovascular and chronic disease management.
Prof. Redfern's educational background includes a PhD, BAppSc (Physiotherapy), and BSc. She has authored over 270 manuscripts and secured $30M+ in research grants in the past five years. Key projects include the SOLVE-CHD Synergy Grant ($5M), TEXTME mobile health trials, and the FirstCPR community CPR training initiative.
