Julie R. Posselt is a Professor of Higher Education at the University of Southern California (USC) Rossier School of Education, Executive Director of the USC Center for Enrollment Research Policy and Practice, Associate Dean in the USC Graduate School, and President of the Sociology of Education Association.

• PhD in Higher Education from the University of Michigan

Research Interests:
Rooted in sociological and organizational theory, her work examines institutionalized inequalities in higher education, focusing on graduate education, STEM fields, and elite undergraduate institutions. She investigates systemic inequities, equity initiatives, and the intersection of organizational culture with diversity efforts.

Scientific Awards:
Recipient of the AERA Early Career Award (2018), ASHE Early Career Award (2017), and National Academy of Education/Spencer Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship (2015-2017).

Grants & Leadership:
Founder of the Equity in Graduate Education Consortium (EquityGradEd.org) with 24 universities. Has secured over $20 million in grants from NSF, Sloan Foundation, and Mellon Foundation for projects like INCLUDES Alliance, AMIGA, and IGEN.
