Julie Pasquer-Jeanne is a Lecturer in Information and Communication Sciences at the Université Catholique de l'Ouest (UCO) in the Department of Information and Communication Sciences (Faculty of Humanities, Vannes Campus). She serves as Educational Manager for the 3rd Year Degree program in her department and is a Full member of the PREFics laboratory (University of Rennes 2) and Associate member of the CHUS research team (UCO). Her work focuses on cultural mediation, audience studies, and the role of fiction in cultural experiences. She has organized major international conferences such as 'Bringing Monuments to Life' (2022-2023) and contributed to projects like DEXCuPat, examining cultural mediation and heritage.
Education: PhD in Information and Communication Sciences (University of Avignon, 2016), qualification as CNU 71 lecturer (2018). Prior roles include Training Manager for the Ouest Industries Créatives program (2017-2018) and teaching at IUT GEA Rennes (2012-2017). She has also led research on digital nomadism communities and ecological education through projects like PANAJE.
Research Themes: Cultural audiences' interactions with heritage sites, digital mediation strategies, fictional narratives in cultural experiences, and youth engagement with cultural institutions. She explores how monuments are perceived through children's cultural practices and the impact of transmedia approaches in museums like Versailles.
Notable Activities: Organized interdisciplinary events with institutions like the Centre des monuments nationaux and published on topics such as museum digital tools, heritage mediation, and territorial co-working spaces. Her work bridges communication theory with applied cultural policy and institutional innovation.
