Julie MAYER is a Lecturer at the University of Rennes, Faculty of Economics, where she conducts research on risk management, organizational behavior, and energy policy. Her office is located at 7 place Hoche, 35065 Rennes Cedex, in Office 183 on the 1st floor, as part of the ORN (Organizations, Networks, Digital) research pole.
Dr. MAYER's research program spans several interconnected domains within organizational studies and policy analysis. Her primary focus examines how organizations frame and respond to risks, particularly through attention-based perspectives. She investigates business model innovation processes, the social construction of risk, and energy policy implementation. Her recent work explores energy sufficiency through household mindfulness and gamification approaches, as well as municipal resistance to smart meter technologies. Her research bridges theoretical organizational frameworks with practical policy applications, particularly in the French and European contexts.
Her publication record demonstrates a consistent scholarly trajectory from foundational work on attentional processes in risk management (2016-2019) toward more applied research on energy transitions and sustainability challenges (2020-2023). Her work appears in academic journals focusing on organizational behavior, risk management, and energy policy, with increasing emphasis on practical solutions to contemporary socio-technical challenges.
