Dr. Julie E. Hudson is a Professor of English at Huston-Tillotson University, where she has taught since 2000. Her research focuses on 20th/21st-century African American Literature, particularly women's literature, and 20th-century Latin American Literature. She has published a dissertation analyzing cultural motifs in works by Toni Morrison and Gabriel García Márquez, and is currently completing a book on 18th-20th century African American Women Writers.
