Julie Collins

Julie Collins is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of South Australia's School of Art, Architecture and Design, based at the Architecture Museum on the Creative City West Campus. Her academic focus spans architectural history, urban design, and the intersection of health and built environments. She has contributed to major publications like Adelaide's Jubilee International Exhibition 1887-1888, co-edited with Christine Garnaut and Bridget Jolly, which explores the legacy of Adelaide's historic exhibition through its architecture and social impact.

Her research investigates topics such as postwar housing innovations, therapeutic landscapes, and the historical evolution of urban spaces. Notable works include analyses of tuberculosis sanatoria's influence on town planning and the adaptive reuse of domestic spaces in South Australia.
