Julie Briere serves as an Associate Professor of Nursing at Emmanuel College, concurrently holding hospital credentials at Boston Children’s Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Lahey Medical Center. This dual clinical-academic role enables her to integrate real-world pediatric expertise into her teaching and mentorship.
Her educational background includes:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Massachusetts Lowell
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner from Northeastern University
With two decades of bedside nursing experience across diverse healthcare settings, Professor Briere specializes in pediatric and neonatal clinical practice. Her research focuses on evidence-based nursing education, clinical quality improvement initiatives, and bridging academic instruction with hospital-based practice. She is recognized for her dynamic teaching methodology and dedication to developing future nursing professionals through hands-on mentorship.
Professor Briere actively contributes to collaborative nursing research projects and quality enhancement programs across academic and clinical environments, strengthening partnerships between Emmanuel College and major medical institutions.
