Julianne Jones serves as Director of the George W. Daverio School of Accountancy and Professor of Practice at the University of Akron's College of Business. She holds a JD and MTax from the University of Akron and a BA from Walsh University.
Her teaching focuses on:
- Individual and business entity taxation
- C Corporation, S Corporation, and partnership taxation
- Estate, gift, and trust taxation
- Accounting principles
Research interests span all areas of taxation including local, state, national and international tax policy.
Awards include:
- Beta Gamma Sigma Professor of the Year (2022)
- Exemplary University Service Award (2021)
- Teaching Excellence Award (2016)
- Multiple Steininger Faculty Fellowships
