Dr. Juliane Glaser is a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics in Berlin, Germany, currently affiliated with the Mundlos Lab. Her research focuses on non-coding genome functions, structural genomic variations, and transposable elements in developmental diseases. In 2025, she will lead her own research group on Transposable Elements and Embryogenesis.
- PhD in Life Science from Curie Institute (2018)
- MSc in Genetics from Paris Cité University (2014)
- BSc in Biology & Biochemistry from Denis Diderot University (2011)
Research Interests: Juliane's work bridges genomic imprinting, 3D genome architecture, and transposable element impacts on developmental regulation. She investigates how structural variations like inversions and duplications disrupt genome organization to cause diseases.
Publication Trends: Recent studies span 3D genome modeling, machine learning in gene prioritization, and epigenetic programming of postnatal growth, with a focus on limb development anomalies and locus-specific regulatory conflicts.
- Scientific Award: F1000Prime recommendation (2017 paper)
