Juliane Dannberg

Juliane Dannberg is a W2 Professor at GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel and Head of the Computational Geodynamics Group within Research Division 4: Dynamics of the Ocean Floor. Her research develops computational models of Earth's interior dynamics, focusing on mantle plumes, oceanic plate evolution, mantle convection heterogeneity, and magma transport systems. She integrates approaches from geodynamics, seismology and mineral physics while advancing numerical methods for geodynamic simulations.
