Juliana Freire is a Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at New York University (NYU). She holds concurrent appointments at the Courant Institute for Mathematical Science and serves as a faculty member at the NYU Center for Urban Science and the NYU Center for Data Science, where she is also the Director of Graduate Studies. Her research focuses on data management technology for emerging applications involving urban, scientific, and web data, with an emphasis on big-data analysis, visualization, large-scale information integration, provenance management, and computational reproducibility.
