Julia Rutledge

Julia Rutledge is the Director of the Learning Analytics Master’s Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, affiliated with the School of Education and the Department of Educational Psychology. She earned her PhD in Educational Psychology from UW-Madison in 2017.

Her research focuses on Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) measurement and Personalized Learning Environments, with an emphasis on data-driven approaches to SEL and learner-centered instructional design. She has presented at conferences such as the American Educational Research Association and the International Society of the Learning Sciences.

Julia’s recent publications explore trends in learning analytics, SEL implementation, and collaborative science education. These works emphasize the intersection of technology, equity, and pedagogical innovation.

As Director of the Learning Analytics Master’s Program, she oversees curriculum development, student advising, and program marketing, while also teaching courses and advising graduate students.
