معرفی
Julia Albers is a Faculty Lecturer in the Medical Physics Unit at McGill University and serves as a Clinical Physicist at the McGill University Health Centre's Department of Medical Physics. She is affiliated with the Cedars Cancer Centre at the Glen Hospital campus in Montreal. Her academic credentials include a BEng in Biomedical Engineering from Polytechnique (2016), an MSc in Medical Physics from McGill University (1981), and a Residency in Radiation Oncology Physics from McGill (2020).
Research Focus
Dr. Albers specializes in radiation therapy optimization and toxicity analysis. Her research investigates dosimetric predictors of adverse effects in cancer treatments, particularly chest wall pain resulting from lung stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT). She employs clinical data analysis to identify risk factors and improve therapeutic outcomes.
Conference Contributions
She has presented collaborative research at major international conferences including CARO-COMP-CAMRT and ESTRO (European Society for Radiotherapy & Oncology). Her work emphasizes dosimetric variables linked to treatment-related complications.
