Judy Mahone is an Adjunct Faculty member in the Music department at Lipscomb University, where she has taught piano since 1995. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance from George Peabody College for Teachers (1968), studying under Lucien Stark. Her career spans over five decades, including a private piano studio since 1970, keyboard roles with the Cambiata Chamber Players, and eight years as a volunteer music teacher in Nashville and Williamson County elementary schools. She developed and directed Summer Music Camps focusing on musical theater, piano performance, and theory.
Ms. Mahone has served as a musical director, accompanist, and producer for numerous Nashville theater productions and frequently accompanies local choral groups. She is a Nationally Certified member of the Music Teachers National Association and a charter member of the Nashville Area Music Teachers Association, chairing the Bellevue Center for the National Guild of Piano Teachers for 18 years. From 1989 to 2006, she worked at Bellevue Presbyterian Church as Organist/Children’s Choir Coordinator and Associate Music Director. Currently, she provides interim support at Metro Nashville churches and contributes to the American Guild of Organists and Lifeway Conference Center’s Church Music Leadership Conferences.
