Dr. Judith Unterdörfler is a Lecturer at the Department of History, University of Maiduguri, Nigeria. She holds a Ph.D. in Indology from Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg, where her dissertation focused on Expressing Devotionalism while Copying Texts – A Critical Study of Selected Medieval Sanskrit Manuscripts. Her research bridges manuscript analysis with religious studies, examining how devotional practices are reflected in textual and codicological features of historical documents.
Her work is part of broader studies at the Center for the Study of Manuscript Cultures (CSMC), emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to manuscript cultures.
