Judith McIntosh White

Judith McIntosh White is an Associate Professor at the University of New Mexico's Communication & Journalism Department, specializing in health communication, science journalism, and social justice research. She teaches graduate-level courses in health communication, communication theory, and research methods, alongside undergraduate classes in strategic communication.

Dr. White's research explores health communication strategies, science journalism challenges, and digital ethnography applications for social justice. She has developed frameworks for entertainment education methodologies and symmetrical communication between public information officers and policymakers.

Her recent publications focus on science communication strategies, health behavior change interventions, and decolonizing communication approaches. These works emphasize participatory methods, cross-cultural applications, and public engagement with STEM fields.

Her documentary work includes No Place Like Martineztown (2014) examining Albuquerque's historic Martineztown community and Just Call Me Joe (2012) exploring social justice themes through ethnographic filmmaking.
