Judith Frost is a Research Fellow affiliated with the University of York, primarily associated with the Department of History and the Centre for Medieval Studies. She has been an Honorary Visiting Fellow since 2010 and teaches non-accredited coursework on medieval monasticism through the Centre for Life Long Learning.

Her research focuses on medieval English monastic communities, particularly the Regular Canons following the Rule of St. Augustine. Using a prosopographical approach, she explores the interplay between ecclesiastical and political structures, with a current project involving the edition of a monastic cartulary.
Her publications span topics such as monastic careers, parish churches, priory foundations, and archival cartularies. These works emphasize the social, political, and institutional dynamics of medieval monasticism in Yorkshire.
Judith previously served as a technical editor and research assistant on the Christianity & Culture Project from 2005 to 2010. She continues to engage with the academic community through her teaching roles and research contributions.
Her teaching includes non-accredited courses like The Medieval Monastery: The Local Yorkshire Neighbour and The City of York: A Monastic Landscape, reflecting her expertise in regional medieval studies.
