Judith De Graffenried is a Professor and Program Coordinator for the Department of Fine and Graphic Arts at Middlesex Community College. She holds a BA and MAT in German from the University of South Carolina, an MFA in Painting from Brooklyn College (CUNY), and studied at the Art Academy of Munich and Queens College (CUNY). Her teaching philosophy emphasizes creative discipline through artistic practice, fostering independence and self-reliance in students.

Prior to academia, Judith worked 18 years as a commercial artist for clients like Miller Brewing Company, NBC, HBO, and Oxford University Press.
