Judite BLANC is a Professor of Psychology at the State University of Haiti and Université Notre Dame d'Haïti, and Coordinator of SITWOMAFRIKA. Her work focuses on psychopathological analysis of societal trauma, particularly examining historical trauma from colonialism and its intergenerational impacts. She explores how collective mental health intersects with political, social, and cultural dynamics in Haiti.
Key research interests include trauma studies, post-traumatic stress, cultural identity, and the psychological legacy of historical oppression. She has published extensively on Haiti's post-colonial psyche, linking systemic crises to unresolved traumas from slavery and colonialism.
Her 2016 work Psychopathologie de la crise haïtienne argues that Haiti's ongoing social/political instability reflects a collective post-traumatic stress disorder rooted in centuries of trauma. Collaborative projects include co-editing volumes on Afro-Caribbean thought and trauma.
Judite BLANC coordinates SITWOMAFRIKA, an organization likely focused on socio-cultural issues. Her work bridges academia and activism, addressing mental health through a sociohistorical lens.
