Juan Shan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Pace University's Seidenberg School of CSIS. She joined Pace in 2013 after serving as an Assistant Professor at Benedictine College from 2011-2013. Her work focuses on applying machine learning to medical imaging and computer-aided diagnosis systems.

- BSc in Computer Science from Harbin Institute of Technology (2004)
Research spans medical image analysis, machine learning, and clinical decision support. Recent publications emphasize deep learning for knee osteoarthritis, hand radiograph analysis, and automated segmentation.

- 2017 NSF SCH Grant (PI) for 3D knee osteoarthritis modeling
- 2017 DoD DAISEC Grant (Co-PI) in cybersecurity data analytics
