Juan Godoy Penas

Juan Antonio Godoy Peñas is Associate Professor Educator at University of Cincinnati, where he directs undergraduate studies in Romance languages and coordinates Spanish placement programs. His research examines identity formation through Spanish exile literature and language pedagogy, with publications on the second generation of writers exiled after the Spanish Civil War. He has pioneered hybrid teaching methods for Spanish language instruction.

Godoy Peñas co-directs study abroad programs in Mexico and leads initiatives to integrate minority identities into language curricula. His book Memoria, identidad y literatura del yo analyzes autobiographical narratives of exiled writers.
