Juan Felipe Henao Piza

Dr. Juan Felipe Henao Piza is an Associate Professor at Icesi University, Colombia, affiliated with the Faculty of Administrative and Economic Sciences and the Department of Organizational Management. His work bridges operations research (OR/MS) and energy systems, focusing on optimization techniques for renewable energy integration.

Dr. Henao's research centers on applying OR/MS to energy challenges, including modeling renewable energy sources (solar, wind, hydropower) for both on-grid and off-grid areas. His work also emphasizes renewable energy complementarities and the potential of green hydrogen in off-grid regions, particularly in Colombia.
