Juan Carlos Galofré Ferrater

Dr. Juan Carlos Galofré Ferrater is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Navarra, where he specializes in Endocrinology and Nutrition. He works at the University of Navarra Clinic and leads research projects in thyroid pathology and neuroendocrinology.

• Education: Graduate in Medicine (Autonomous University of Barcelona), Doctor of Medicine (University of Santiago de Compostela), Specialist in Endocrinology and Nutrition (University of Navarra).

Research interests: Focus on thyroid diseases (thyroid cancer, nodules, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, and thyroid dysfunction during pregnancy) and neuroendocrinology, particularly pituitary gland disorders. His work is funded by FIS, NIH, the Government of Navarra, and other institutions.

Publications: Author of over 100 scientific articles and 30 chapters in major publishers (Elsevier, Springer). Frequent guest speaker at conferences in Europe and the Americas.

• Scientific Awards: Clinical Research Fellow (2004), President of the Scientific Committee for the Barcelona 2023 conference, and President of the local committee for the 2014 European Thyroid Association Congress.

Teaching and leadership: Vice Dean of Academic Affairs (2016-2018) and Professors (2018-2019) at the Faculty of Medicine. Supervises student rotations abroad and serves as Tutor for ordinary and foreign students.
