Juan Camacho

Juan Camacho is an Instructor of Piano at the Department of Art, Music, and Theatre Music at the University of Illinois. Born in Bogotá, Colombia, he holds advanced degrees in Piano Performance and Literature from the University of Illinois (DMA), Missouri State University (M.M.), and the National University of Colombia (B.M.).

Performance Highlights:

• Selected soloist by Camerata Olav Roots for Mozart Piano Concerto No. 13
• Premiered works by Italian Colombian composer Mauricio Nasi Lignarolo
• Active harpsichord and organ performer with appearances in Colombia and Puerto Rico
