João Vidal de Carvalho is a Senior Lecturer at the Porto Accounting and Business School, Polytechnic Institute of Porto. He holds leadership roles including Vice President of IADITI and former Vice Director of the Research Centre for Organisational and Social Studies (CEOS.PP). He chairs two international conferences (ICOTTS and ICITED) and serves as Editor-in-Chief for two academic journals.
His educational qualifications include:
- Postdoc in Technologies and Information Systems, University of Coimbra
- PhD in Information Systems and Technology, University of Santiago de Compostela
- Master of Information Technology Management, University of Minho
- Bachelor of Informatics/Applied Mathematics, Portucalense University
His research explores Information Systems, Digital Transformation, and technology applications in education and tourism. He has authored books on Computer Science and Database Management, with 15+ publications in Q1/Q2 journals.
