João Dias

João Dias holds a PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of Beira Interior and is an Adjunct Professor at IADE – Faculty of Design, Technology, and Communication, part of Universidade Europeia. He also serves as an invited Auxiliary Professor at the Computer Science department of the University of Beira Interior. Currently, he coordinates the PhD in Digital Game Development and the postgraduate course in Creative Programming at IADE. Additionally, he leads DTN.Lab as an integrated researcher at UNIDCOM – IADE's research center, focusing on projects that bridge technology and design.

His academic career emphasizes applied research in Vehicular Networks, IoT, and Extended Reality (XR), with a strong industry connection. As CEO and Chairman of inKlusion Entertainment, SA, he drives technological innovation in the gaming and entertainment sectors. Dias has authored/co-authored numerous papers recognized with scientific merit awards and contributes to academic governance as Pedagogical Council Member at Universidade Europeia.

He has pioneered curricular updates and lab infrastructure development for digital game research. His work integrates pedagogical innovation, academic management, and industry collaboration, reflecting his dual focus on academia and entrepreneurship.
