João Confraria is a Senior Affiliate Professor at the Catholic University of Portugal, where he teaches courses in Public Policy, Regulation & Competition, and Telecommunications. He holds a Doctoral degree in Economics (1991) and a Master in Economics (1988) from the same institution. Currently, he serves on the Board of ICP-Anacom, the National Communications Authority, and has held significant roles such as vice-president of the Portuguese Civil Aviation Authority (2007-2011) and representative of the Portuguese Government at Eurocontrol (2011).
