João Alexandre Batista Coelho

João Alexandre Batista Coelho is a Research Fellow at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, affiliated with the Higher School of Technology and Management and the Department of Electrotechnics. He completed his academic journey at the same institution, earning a Higher Professional Technical Course (CTeSP) in Automation, Robotics, and Industrial Electronics, followed by a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2022, and a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2024.

His research focuses on Cyber-Physical Systems and Robotics, with particular emphasis on manipulator robots, Internet of Things applications, and embedded systems. Since December 2023, he has been actively exploring manipulator robot development through his research grant. His educational background includes an internship at E-Redes in Bragança, which provided practical experience in his field.

His two recent publications from 2025 demonstrate his expertise in integrating engineering tools for robotics education and developing control systems for educational manipulator robots. These works highlight his commitment to advancing robotics education through practical, hands-on approaches.

João maintains active research connections with colleagues including José A. Carvalho Gonçalves, L. Brancaliao, M. Alvarez, and P. Costa, as evidenced by his collaborative publications.
