Joyce Munro is a Part-Time Faculty (PTF-3) in the Department of English at Wayne State University's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She holds a BA in English from the University of Michigan, a JD from Wayne State University School of Law, and an MA in English from Wayne State University.
Her research focuses on American and British Modernist literature, folklore studies, and English composition education. Notable works include analyses of fairylore narratives related to child health and legal system interactions in cases of child abuse.
With 23 years of legal practice, Munro has expertise in Michigan state and federal courts. She founded the English Proficiency Program at Lawrence Technological University and currently teaches Introductory College Writing (ENG1020).
