Joy D'Andrea is an Associate Professor of Instruction at the University of South Florida's Sarasota-Manatee campus. Her interdisciplinary research spans statistical hurricane modeling, sinkhole prediction, and mathematics education pedagogy. She holds a PhD in Mathematics (Statistics Concentration) from USF and is pursuing an Ed.S. in Instructional Technology.
D'Andrea teaches calculus, statistics, and discrete mathematics while advocating for project-based learning and the Montessori method. Her statistical research focuses on extreme weather events and environmental risk assessment using logistic regression and factor analysis.

She mentors undergraduate researchers in statistical applications and serves as faculty advisor for math clubs.
