Jovana Cikic is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad, specializing in Sociology. She has held academic positions at the Faculty of Agriculture (2003-2013), Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (2013-2014), and currently at the Faculty of Philosophy since 2014.
- Education: PhD in Sociological Sciences (2012), Master's in Rural Sociology (2008), BA in Sociology (2003).
Research focuses on family sociology, rural tourism, post-socialist transition, and educational structures. Her work examines gender inequalities in rural tourism, biological/social reproduction in family farms, and rural household dynamics during Serbia's socio-economic shifts.
She has (co)authored three monographs, over 80 scientific papers, and participated in 25+ research projects and 35+ international conferences. Key themes include rural sustainability, gendered agricultural practices, and social policy adaptation.
Professional affiliations include membership in the Serbian Sociological Society, Sociological Society of Serbia and Montenegro, and editorial board membership for the Sociological Review (2017-present). She coordinated the Novi Sad Sociological Club (2015-2017).
