Josseline Balmain

Josseline Balmain is a Teacher-Researcher at the University of La Rochelle, affiliated with the CNRS Scientific Department INSIS and the French Higher Education authority (CNU 28). Her work focuses on high-temperature oxidation, protective coatings for extreme environments, and the behavior of superalloys under thermal stress.

She oversees laboratory equipment such as ATG devices, cycling benches, and ovens, and teaches courses on corrosion degradation and materials protection in the Master SPI program. Her research explores environmentally friendly thermal barrier systems, the influence of water vapor on coating durability, and rare earth-based electrosynthesis for turbine materials.
